Counsellor - Child & Youth Mental Health and Children Who Witness Abuse

 

North Kootenay Lake Community Services Society in beautiful Kaslo BC has an exciting temporary opening for a Counsellor to work with children and youth.

22.5 hours per week.

As the Counsellor for children and youth you will provide assessment, treatment planning, implementation and outcome evaluation for clients who are between 3-18 years of age and reside in Kaslo and the surrounding area. 

The Counsellor works closely with other members of the NKLCSS counselling team and Clinical supervision will be provided


If you have child and youth counselling experience, or previous work in a similar environment, a degree in social work, counselling or a related field (or the equivalent combination of education and experience), then consider this position in a caring community setting.   Preference given to those with a specialty in children’s expressive therapies.

Wage starting at $23.27/hour

This temporary position is to cover for a medical leave.  The position is available immediately until the end of June 2017, with possible extension.  The position will remain open until a suitable candidate is hired.
