The Kaslo Community Directed Youth Fund (CDYF) Advisory Committee is seeking new youth members. The committee meets once a month to decide how funds should be spent on local youth programs, activities, and recreational sites. The CDYF Advisory Committee is a supportive and encouraging environment for youth to speak up and share their thoughts. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in community capacity-building, networking, and programming.
The CDYF Advisory Committee is beginning their second term of commitment to addressing local issues identified by youth and the broader community. Over the last year, together, we have successfully completed upgrades to the Kaslo and Area Youth Centre, provided Youth Visionary Sessions to invite the voices of youth to be heard, and created a Carpentry Mentorship for youth to learn hands-on carpentry skills. We want to continue providing meaningful projects and activities for youth living in Kaslo and Area D and we need youth to do that.
If you are interested in joining the CDYF Advisory Committee please contact Shannon Isaac, Kaslo and Area D Youth Coordinator, at NKLCSS by phone 250-353-7691 or email email@example.com.
