
A six week support group for parents of preschoolers. Increases parents' knowledge of children's health, safety and behavior. Helps to build ongoing support networks among parents in the community.
We offer counselling to families as well as art and other expressive therapies for children and youth.
People with similar worries and self-doubts about their parenting get together to share, support and learn from each other.
The CWWA program involves education and counselling aimed at ultimately breaking the cycle of violence against women and children.
Offers outreach counselling, in-home support and crisis intervention for children, youth and families. Helps families strengthen parenting, communication, conflict resolution and anger management skills. Provides workshops and educational activities in community settings.
Provides life skills and develops socialization in the community for children who are mentally challenged.
Students from grade two and up are welcome to bring their homework along, have a healthy snack, and work on assignments. When homework is complete; educational games, reading buddies activities, creative writing, etc. await. Students will bring home their completed contract with work goals, tutors comments, and initials. Thank you so much to the P.A.C. group for their financial support of this venture. ‘Family Fun at the Centre’ will be starting at 6:30 p.m. on November the 3rd at the Family Centre. This program will have free choice centre activities, circle time, and a new special activity focus each week. The activities will be followed by snack, story, and music time. Children are expected to attend with an adult, and sign in upon arrival. Donations of educational games, art supplies, and donations for the purchase of healthy snacks, would be gratefully accepted.
