Services for Women
Counselling
Short and long term individual counselling in a safe and supportive place. Women can share their stories, appreciate their strengths and recognize growth and change. Facilitated groups are offered periodically. Please phone for information.
Victim Services
Emotional support is given to women survivors of assault. We can provide information on your rights and responsibilities regarding the legal and justice system, the court process to apply for Criminal Injury Compensation and information on appropriate resources and referrals.
Safe Homes
Abuse includes: name-calling, threats, control over money, throwing things, punches, shoves, slaps, forced sex, forced isolation, etc...
We provide help in accessing short term, emergency, free, confidential accommodation for women (and children) who are at risk of abuse. We can also assist in locating longer term shelter in a transition house. Emotional support and information on the dynamics of abuse is available. Women can get assistance in developing a safety plan for those who are in danger of abuse. Women can get help with transportation to access medical, legal, social service or other necessary appointments
