YACK is Back!!

Attention Parents! Youth Art and Culture Kaslo (YACK) will be offering its summer program on Mondays from 10:00 to 11:30 am through July and August. Come on out with your 3 to 6 year old and experience a wide variety of art and cultural activities with local artists. It will be held in the Family Centre (Front Street) in Kaslo, unless otherwise advertised. Space for the programs is limited, and pre-registration is required. Fees for the program are on a sliding scale of $1 to $10 per child, per session. Snack is provided.

• July 7th- Quilting for Little Ones with Linda Portman
  Join us in making a unique quilt for the Family Centre


• July 14th- Growing and Grooving with Music with Anne and Sarah Heard
  Come on out for a fun-filled morning of music and movement


• July 21st- Traditional Mexican Cooking with Betty Guttierez


• July 28th- Candle Dipping with Natural Beeswax with Leah and Roy from Honey Candles
  Sign up for an interesting morning of creating our own candles, and learning about bees


• August 11th- Lantern Making Part 1 and Butter making with Heike Reeg-Smith. **10 to noon


• August 18th- Lantern Making Part 2 and Bread making with Heike Reeg-Smith **10 to noon


• August 25th- Wet Felted Music Makers with Barb Cyr
  Join us for a creative morning of wet felting some rhythm shakers
